● There is a pit! It must be good if it is an Ambarella product?
Just search on the e-commerce platform, most of the driving recorders will be marked as "Ambarella A7" chip. It is true that the main chip of the current driving recorder is Ambarella's A7 series, and almost everyone knows that Ambarella is the best, so most of the products are using Ambarella series chips.
Because of this, some unscrupulous merchants start to play tricks, telling you in the baby details page that they are using Ambarella chips, but not telling you whether they are using LA70, LA50/LA55 or LA30 (A7 series of Ambarella High, middle and low grades are LA70, LA50/LA55, LA30). For this kind of product introduction, it is recommended that car owners take care.
● Sensitivity chip is often falsely labeled
The current mainstream photosensitive chips are ov4689 (4 million physical pixels) and ar0330 (3 million physical pixels). OV4689 is generally used in more high-end products, usually paired with LA70, which is currently the best top configuration. AR0330 is usually used in conjunction with Novatek 96650, LA30, LA50/LA55.
Front-end sensor pixels are generally described in terms of how many million pixels, such as 1.3 million, 2 million, and 3 million, and video output is generally described in 720P, 1080P, etc. These are also two parameters (one is the pixels of the front-end sensor and the other is the definition of the video output) that are directly related to the sharpness of the camera of the driving recorder. However, we are often misled sometimes, how many tens of thousands of sensors there are, but in fact, the video output may not be able to reach that many tens of thousands. This is completely two concepts.
● 1080P or 1296P?
1080P has almost become the current standard, so do you need to choose a higher video output? Here is a little knowledge, for example, the number of pixels corresponding to a 1080P image is just 2.07 million. How do you calculate it? 1080P is 1920×1080, which is equal to 2.07 million. If you count the wasted edge of the sensor, it may only be about 2 million. If the pixel is higher than 1080P, the data volume of the pixel must be higher than 2.07 million. Assuming that both the 1080P camera and the 1296P camera use the same memory card, not only the recording time is reduced, but the number of repeated reading and writing of the card is greatly increased. , It will shorten the life of the memory card.
More importantly, in fact, with higher pixels (for example, higher than 1080P), the increase in definition will not be very obvious, but because the average input brightness of each pixel is reduced, the night vision effect will deteriorate. Therefore, driving recorder products should focus on practicality and durability, not all parameters are as high as possible.
To put it bluntly, clarity is a comprehensive manifestation of product performance, mainly related to the image processing chip, image sensor and lens, not just what chip is used and the pixel value marked by the parameter. Some unscrupulous manufacturers will tamper with the lens, and there is no difference from the chip and image sensor, but in fact the lens has a great impact on the sharpness and night vision effect.
● Is it a good product that can see the license plate?
In the case of relatively static, even the 720P driving recorder can clearly see the front license plate, so the real shots of the "Baby Details Page" screenshots are mostly taken in a relatively static state, which is far from reality. There is a certain gap in degree. Whether the license plate can be seen clearly is affected by the following factors: relative speed, relative distance, road surface roughness, light conditions, shooting angle, etc. Generally, the recorder can clearly shoot relatively static objects within 3 meters in front without pressure. If there is displacement, even the best recorder may not be able to capture the license plate.
When the displacement is controlled within ±10% (experience value), the license plate is clearly visible, that is to say, assuming that the size of the license plate is 60*100mm, the displacement range cannot exceed 60mm*10%=6mm, and if it exceeds This range will also become blurred. The exposure time of most driving recorders is basically in the range of [0.05-30ms], the exposure time of night shooting is basically 30ms, and the exposure time of daytime shooting will vary with the light.
● What should I do if the sucker is fixed?
If the product is small and does not need to be taken off frequently in the later stage, the 3M glue fixing method is more convenient. For example, for some products that use APP to view the playback, you can directly choose the 3M glue fixed product. If you need to take down the product to view the playback video, the 3M glue will not be too viscous during the second use, and you need to replace it with a new one.
However, some people also reported that the suction cup fixing method is sometimes not strong and easy to fall off. Some netizens here introduced a simple method: go to the building materials store to buy a tube of high-transparent glass glue (about 13 yuan), first wipe the front windshield and the suction cup, and then order a half soybean grain in the center of the suction cup. Large and small high-transmittance glass glue, paste it to the front windshield (complete high-transmission, no trace). After the glass glue is dry for 24 hours, install the driving recorder. ● 32G memory card is most suitable

The 32G card can record 320 minutes of full HD video, and the video record can be saved for about three days (provided that there is no emergency video occupying space), This is enough for most people.
